Guiding businesses through the Spending Review
20th Oct 2010
"Agency life has been racing of late and for one fairly obvious reason. On Wednesday the Westminster Advisers team sat, with most of the country, and watched as the economic landscape for the next parliament and beyond was forged. It was one of those unique moments in time when a palpable sense of importance and caution pervaded the minds of Londoners and voters far beyond.
To look at one positive, the review is a vital impetus for those operating in public communications to up our game as it were. We are in a position of good fortune but also great responsibility in driving fresh innovation about how to connect private interests and ideas to an ever tighter public purse. This mission is a noble one. The Chancellor himself remarked that the shrinkage of the public sector must be carried forward by the private.
For our agency this translates to looking after and serving those clients we currently have well, pre-empting their needs wherever possible and working to achieve the best result for them. Achieving this aim keeps people in work, generates growth and helps ensure that whilst the age of austerity is upon us now, it need not last forever."
