"Returning to work after the excitement of the Royal Wedding and the enjoyable Bank Holiday weather, it was back to serious debate in the office this week. Somewhat predictably, the hot topic up for discussion has been whether or not to vote in favour of electoral reform. Preferences among staff, be they first, second or third, have been mixed with all the arguments both in favour and against being given an airing.
Reflecting on the cut and thrust of policy debates on a more personal level among colleagues helps us remain fully engaged with the key issues as they develop. Despite the vociferous debate among colleagues sitting firmly on opposite sides of the fence, all disagreements about changing the voting system are put to one side as we continue to go about our business for clients. Only time will tell whether the same will be said of the Cabinet post-referendum."
