"BBC Radio 4's 'Bottom Line' BBC podcast had an interesting discussion this week with senior executives from SKY, the CBI, and the Cirque du Soleil debating the importance of effective government relations.?? Daniel Lamarre, president and chief executive of Cirque du Soleil, estimated that every day, across the 20 different countries in which his business operates, there are more than 200 new regulatory and legislative changes that they need to monitor, understand and potentially influence. In the UK alone, this period of dramatic political and economic upheaval makes an organisation's ability to analyse and adapt to political change an essential asset."
