"When thinking about research it’s often easy to conjure up thoughts of weighty tomes of analysis and statistical data. Whilst such publications are a vital aspect of any research project, the importance of face-to-face discussions with relevant stakeholders in a policy area, be they civil servants, parliamentarians or businesses, cannot be underestimated.
Such conversations are a way to determine the salient issues affecting any given area of policy - what certain reforms are hoping to achieve and what the potential impact on business and people is likely to be. At Westminster Advisers, we believe this type of engagement acts to complement other research we conduct across a range of policy areas.
As part of this process, we regularly hold policy roundtable discussions, bringing together key government officials and representatives from the business community to debate the central issues, opportunities and challenges within a given policy context. Recent events have, for example, focussed on the food industry, the healthcare sector and the business community more generally. As an outcome of these events, Westminster Advisers publish White Paper discussion summaries, providing a concise overview of the key themes arising from the roundtable and conclusions for the sector concerned.
Our White Papers form relevant and up-to-date analysis of the key issues facing businesses as they seek to engage with the ever changing world of politics and can be downloaded here.
A list of upcoming events of relevance to you can be found here."
