Cycle to Work Alliance launched
Halfords, Evans Cycles, and Cyclescheme have come together to promote the benefits of cycling to work as a way to encourage healthier lifestyles, reduce carbon emissions and improve employee engagement.
The 'Cycle to Work Alliance' will work with the new government, parliament and the wider policy-making community. It will show how cycling to work tackles obesity and poor health by helping people to build exercise into their daily routine, and how it encourages sustainable transport.
The alliance will also raise awareness by employers of the Cycle to Work scheme as a simple and affordable way to motivate staff.
The Alliance is working with public affairs and communications management consultancy Westminster Advisers. Dominic Church, Managing Director of Westminster Advisers said:
