Chartered body for health and safety professionals appoints Westminster Advisers

Westminster Advisers has won a comprehensive public affairs brief with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the chartered body for health and safety professionals.

With more than 37,000 individual members, IOSH is the biggest professional health and safety organisation in the world. It sets standards, and supports, develops and connects its members with resources, guidance, events and training. It is committed to cutting down the number of people who die or are made ill by what they do for a living, and believes that advice from qualified, experienced and skilled professionals is crucial to ensure pragmatic application of health and safety.

Westminster Advisers Managing Director Dominic Church, said: “We are delighted to be supporting IOSH at this definitive time for health and safety, as Lord Young’s recommendations are digested and enter the implementation phase. Professionalism of the industry is fundamental to effective delivery of the recommendations, and we will be assisting IOSH to ensure it is recognised by government as a key partner to enable professional application of health and safety regulations which are both appropriate and practical.”

Rob Strange, Chief Executive of IOSH, commented: “We look forward to working with Westminster Advisers to ensure that health and safety is applied with a practical and pragmatic approach, in a manner which is of benefit to both business and wider society.”
