Offender rehabilitation charity, Blue Sky, appoint Westminster Advisers for pro-bono public affairs support
Westminster Advisers are delighted to be providing pro-bono public affairs strategic advice for prisoner rehabilitation provider Blue Sky Development and Regeneration.
Blue Sky, one of Downing Street’s two chosen charity partners for 2011, reduce reoffending by providing employment opportunities for ex-offenders.
Dominic Church, Managing Director of Westminster Advisers, said:
“We are delighted to be supporting such an excellent organisation and have been looking to develop our pro-bono work in this area, given our strong record in social policy public affairs strategy and delivery.
Rehabilitation is very much on the government’s agenda and we will be advising Blue Sky on how to work with policymakers to support the ‘rehabilitation revolution’.”
Mick May, Chief Executive of Blue Sky also stated:
“Evidence shows that supporting ex-offenders into employment can dramatically reduce the chance of reoffending and also builds positive links with the community. We are looking forward to working with Westminster Advisers to promote employment as a valuable method of offender rehabilitation.”
